A beautiful handmade knife! The hammer marks across it's body and blade ensure the uniqueness of each knife, whilst also testifying to the Japanese art of knife-making. The size is perfect for both pocket carry and whittling (with care as it's non-locking of course!). The blade arrived sharp and is perfectly centred. The box with some desiccation gel sachets will keep it's finish along with a light oil after use. It's a work of art that will be cherished in its usage over many years.
I appreciate the way it was carefully packaged by Jamie as it was wrapped within it's own box, as well as wrapped in Japanese newspaper and snuggly fit within a custom wooden box for shipping. Amazing attention to details and care from EW tools.

Bought as a gift for my better half. Now I dont want to give them away. You can see the line of brass where the blue 2 steel has been braized to the body by hand to keep the heat treat. The craftsmanship, materials and finish are of a bygone era where tools where made to function perfectly and last for generations. Something the west has long forgotten by and large. Looking forward to sharpening them for her. In a word, exceptional.
