This 1000 grit pruning-tool whetstone is shaped for curved and uneven garden blades. It is useful for regular touch-ups on secateurs, pruning shears, garden scissors, sickles, grafting knives and small carbon steel blades.

The shaped faces help where a flat stone struggles to make contact. Use the appropriate surface for the blade shape, sharpen lightly before the edge feels truly dull, then clean, dry and oil the tool before storage.

What this stone will not do

How to use

Use with water only. Rinse swarf during sharpening, keep the stone clean, and dry both stone and tool after use. For bypass blades, sharpen the bevel and only remove burrs lightly from the back so the blades still meet correctly.
