How long until I get my order?
East West Tools holds all our stock in Perth. We dispatch every weekday and aim to dispatch orders received before 12pm on the same day. See our shipping policy for full details.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently we only ship within Australia. International shipping is coming soon.
What if my package is lost or delayed?
Please contact us with your order number. We'll investigate and resolve the issue promptly.

Do the tools require oiling?
Yes. We recommend light oiling of metal parts with Camelia Oil to prevent rust.
Warranties & Returns
What is your return policy
We offer 30 day returns for unused tools in original condition. Return condition is at your cost unless the item is faulty.

Do your tools come with a warranty?
Yes. All tools are backed by our 12 month guarantee. Contact us if a tool fails under normal use.
How do I start a return?

About Our Tools
Are your tools handmade?
Yes. Our tools are hand-forged in Japan using traditional blacksmithing methods.
Where are your tools made?
We work with smiths in different prefectures within Japan. Many products made in Sanjo & Miki, two regions renowned for centuries of metalworking tradition.
What's the difference between carbon steel and stainless steel?
Simplified, carbon steel retains a sharper edge for longer but requires more maintenance. Stainless steel requires less maintenance but won't achieve the same razor sharp edge.
Are your tools suitable for Australian hardwoods?
Yes. Our hand-forged tools are built for durability and have been tested on native species.
