The Naniwa Gouken Deluxe 1000 is a reliable mid-grit waterstone made in Osaka, Japan. It is used to restore and establish a clean working edge on kitchen knives, chisels, garden blades and other edged tools after coarse repair work.

Soak for about 10 minutes before sharpening and maintain a light water film during use. The stone balances speed, feedback and durability, making it a practical daily maintenance stone between repair and final polishing stages. It is not suitable for ceramic knives.
